Perry Mayer & Linda Langfrey began working on Phase I Beta version of www.citypublife.co.uk
in December 2001 after being unable to find updated pub and bar entertainment on the Internet.

In August 2002 they launched Phase II which saw a complete rebuild of the site in Macromedia Flash which included Venue and Function Room Hire information for the first time.

Phase III was launched with new facilities and functions in March 2003.

In September 2004 Phase IV was launched with more of an emphasis on Function Room and Venue Hire.

The success of Phase III & IV prompted the building of a dedicated Venue and Function Room search facility which began in January 2004 and has taken a year to complete.

Perry has previous business experience and studied for a masters degree in business and finance. Linda spent 13 years as a successful London Karaoke compere.
